The San Diego Padres will have to start the season without one of their biggest off-season additions. MLB.coms San Diego correspondent Corey Brock is reporting that starting pitcher Josh Johnson is out for at least a month to five weeks with flexor strain in his right forearm. The Padres signed the free agent starter to a one-year, $8 million deal this winter after he spent just one season with the Toronto Blue Jays. Johnson, 30, went 2-8 in 16 starts for the Blue Jays in 2013 after being acquired from the Miami Marlins in a multi-player blockbuster prior to the season. His 3.20 earned-run average and 1.66 WHIP in 2013 were career-highs for seasons in which the righty appeared in 10 or more games.
