The Winnipeg Goldeyes bats went silent on Wednesday night and now the Fish find themselves in a fight to hold on to first place. The Goldeyes dropped a doubleheader to the St. Paul Saints on Wednesday in front of 5,936 spectators at Shaw Park and as a result, the Goldeyes are now in a battle for first place in the American Associations North Division.
